Envision Student, Faculty concerts at Rockport Opera House

    ROCKPORT — Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School will present two free concerts for the community at the Rockport Opera House as part of its annual Envision Chamber Music Workshop.

    A Faculty Concert, on Wednesday, August 4, at 5 p.m., will feature violinists Josie Davis, Sophie Davis and Maya French, violist Colin Wheatley, cellist Nora Willauer, bassist Nate Martin, and pianist Margarita Rovenskaya, along with guest artist, violinist Geoff Nuttall. The program includes music by Camille Saint-Saëns, Josh Henderson, Jose Elizondo and more.

    On Friday, August 6, at 2 p.m., Envision Workshop participants will present a concert culminating a week of learning and musical exploration. The Envision Chamber Music Workshop is a 5-day immersive chamber music experience that includes intensive rehearsal and coaching balanced with time for other musical workshops and outdoor activities. This year's program welcomes 31 young musicians, including string players and pianists, from across the state and beyond.
