LINCOLNVILLE – Donnamarie Heal, 64, passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2017 surrounded by her family. Donna was born October 3, 1953 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Harry and Adeline (Diburro) Savastano.

She is survived by her husband Vernon of Lincolnville, daughter Elizabeth of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, daughter Susan Moulton and husband Frank of Clinton, two grandchildren Charlotte and Marshall, brother Thomas Savastano of Methuen, MA, sister Christina Meaney and husband David of Atkinson, NH, sisters-in-law Karen Orhon of Hope and Elaine Tibbetts and husband Barry of North Whitefield, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She taught high school mathematics and worked as a teacher in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and finally at Camden Hills Regional High School in Maine. She enjoyed chaperoning student trips to Washington, DC, Italy and Turkey. She always made time to help her students and was more impressed by hard work than natural talent.

Donna loved to cook, always getting her family to try something new. She made family events special with the wonderful food she cooked, especially around the holidays. Her students would also enjoy her many baked goods along with various snacks that she kept hidden in her file cabinet.

She loved her family deeply and adored her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
