JACKSON — Donald “Donnie” Lloyd Nickerson, Jr. ,48, passed away suddenly December 19, 2017. He was born September 3, 1969 in Bangor, Maine. He was the eldest son of Donna and Donald Nickerson, Sr. Besides his parents he leaves behind his children Amanda (24), Nik (18) and Spencer (16), two younger brothers Eric (wife Jeanine), Anthony (wife Marrije, children Donna and Karson) and partner Debbie Warren. 

Donnie’s life revolved around his children and family. He was a selfless man who was caring and put everyone’s needs before his own. He was a dedicated baseball coach, scout master and Eagle Scout of troop 36. He was an Emergency Management Director director and for 30-plus years he was a dedicated volunteer firefighter. His hobbies included bowling, pool, hunting and fishing. 

A Celebration of Life will be held January 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Community Center in Jackson, Maine. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution in support of his children, send donations in care of Donna Nickerson 538 Village Road Jackson, Maine 04921 or to the Jackson Fire Department.
