Dani Tribesmen and friends performs at the Waldo Theatre, April 20
WALDOBORO — Join The Dani Tribesmen and friends in celebration of 4:20 in rasta style on Saturday, April 20, at 4 p.m., at The Waldo Theatre, 916 Main Street, in Waldoboro.
The modest beginnings of a reggae jam at The Wharf in Hallowell have lead David Gagne and the other musicians of The Dani Tribesmen to perform throughout New England since 1985, sharing the stage with the likes of Burning Spear and The Band. For over 30 years they have been playing a sunset cruise aboard the Harbor Princess out of Boothbay Harbor.
Doors will open at 3 p.m., and the music starts at 4 p.m.
General Admission tickets are available in advance online for $18 at www.thewaldotheatre.org. Tickets will also be available at the Box Office starting at 3 p.m., and concessions will be available for purchase.
Show sponsors are Finest Kind Medicinals and Cannabis Cured.
The Waldo also offers theatre education programs for all ages in the form of adult workshops, after school classes, and summer camps. A non-profit arts organization based in an historic 1936 theatre, The Waldo seeks to enrich cultural offerings for all residents, regardless of means, and makes a concerted effort to keep ticket prices accessible.
