"There is no doubt that we as a team played our best tennis of the season today," said Oceanside coach Nicholas Blais. "Though the overall score might not show it, the more detailed box score shows a long fought battle between two of the top teams in the KVAC! It was the first time in my career coaching that two tiebreakers were played in one match. First doubles played for over two and a half hours today demonstrating some outstanding endurance and tennis ability. I was so proud of what my girls showed me today on the courts. They battled for every point, never gave up, and played a tough opponent to the absolute best of their ability. Its great to see my girls playing their best tennis of the season because we are going to need it this post season! We are looking forward to the playoffs!"
Boys Tennis

"I told the kids entering the match today, that if we were to win, we were going to need Butler to win," said Oceanside coach Shawn Dulac. "Unfortunately, it did not go that way, and we came up short. The Oceanside doubles teams came to play today for the first time in two weeks. We had our best roster out there, and it didn't happen for us. The Oceanside singles players did not come out to play tonight, but we have had a great regular season! We have had 12 matches, and this is the first time that the team as a whole did not play well together. We paid the price for it by getting our second straight loss. I still feel that we can make a run in the playoffs, but our road is a lot tougher now."
