Rockport to hold pivotal library meeting and talk with Hoboken developers
The Rockport Select Board will hold a special meeting this evening at 7 p.m. to first talk with local developers about their plans for building workforce housing neighborhood near Hoboken (read more: Old friends propose new take on Rockport neighborhood: Workforce housing, gardens, and lots of children), and then the board will consider where to site a new town library.
The agenda reflects the ongoing discussion about the most appropriate spot to construct the town’s public institution, at its existing home at 1 Limerock Street or on West Street, at the former Rockport Elementary School site.
The meeting will be held in the Rockport Opera House Meeting Room and streamed at livestream.com/Rockportmaine.
