“While trained as a landscape architect, Blake Sanborn applies many of the same design principles to floristry. He’s eager to share his process through the live tutorial so that you, to may bring the outside in.“ Blake has recently moved to Camden and joined the Club. Needless to say, he is a man of many talents.
Blake Sanborn, former Principal Director of Landscape Architecture at AECOM, has won numerous awards for his innovative approach to urban landscapes. Mr. Sanborn has personally overseen the development of One Shenzhen Bay from its start in 2010. In addition to this landmark project, he has been recognized for producing design excellence in Australia, Asia, and the United States. Recently, he received international attention for his innovative work with Resilient by Design that generated leading solutions to climate change as it relates to urban environments surrounding San Francisco Bay. The international practice that he leads is focused on reimagining the way that nature can integrate with the built environment.
With less than a month to go, all plans are in full swing. With the addition of Blake Sanborn, the Expo Committee is entering 11th hour of organization to bring the community the best possible day of local gardening talent. All you need to bring is your ticket and an open mind as you consider all possibilities in any size garden. 2025 Garden Expo: Need to Know
When and where... Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 9am to 4pm (Doors open at 8:30am) o 9am-1pm at Camden-Rockport Middle School, 34 Knowlton Street, Camden ME 1pm-4pm at Old Souls Farm, located in Camden – this is a private address to be communicated the day of the event
Tickets sales are limited... Sold exclusively online. No credits for purchased ticket without exception.
Attendees will present their Ticket Order receipt to gain admittance to morning and afternoon sessions Show us your receipt via your mobile phone or a print-out. The Ticket Order receipt will be automatically sent via email following your online credit card transaction.
Parking... Limited availability at the school. Public parking lot is accessible from Knowlton Street and Washington Street – located behind Knox Mill with the Public Safety Building just below to the left (walkable to/from Middle School)
Event will be held rain or shine.
The Middle School is handicap accessible; the Old Souls Farm is not.
Public restrooms are available at the Middle School.
