Maine State Police Troop D beat
AUGUSTA — Maine State Police Troop D reported the following activity, Feb. 11-18. Below are some of the highlights, as reported by the agency. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
Feb. 10
Trooper Niles Krech and Recruit Erin Ball assisted Trooper Jonathan Leach on I-295 with a drug search on a vehicle that was initially stopped for speeding. The vehicle was eventually impounded for a further search and the investigation is ongoing.
Feb. 11
Trooper Krech and Recruit Ball responded to a complaint of a vehicle off the road on I-295 southbound. Seth Caron, 25, of Brunswick, was arrested for operating after suspension.
Feb. 12
Trooper Bethany Robinson and Recruit Thomas Bureau stopped a vehicle in Frankfort for a seat belt violation. A consent search revealed drug paraphernalia, marijuana and liquid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Alonzo Harvey, 27, of Frankfort, was summonsed for the offenses and released.
Trooper Robinson and Recruit Bureau arrested Misty Linscott, 23, at her home in Northport on a warrant. Misty was transported to the Waldo County Jail.
Feb. 13
Trooper Evan Teel summonsed Sarah Lord, 46, of Belmont for operating an unregistered motor vehicle on Pout Town Road in Stockton Springs.
Trooper Shawn Porter located a vehicle on Route 3 in China that had oversized tires on it. Christopher Sheaff, 25, was summoned for operating a defective motor vehicle and operating after suspension.
Trooper Mark Ferreira stopped Jacob Coughlan, 27, of Randolph, for a defective brake light. Marijuana was subsequently discovered in the vehicle. Coughlan was summonsed for possession of usable amount of marijuana and released.
Trooper Ferreira stopped Joseph Parker, 32, of Waldoboro, on Route 194 in Pittston for an expired registration sticker. Parker's license expired in 2009 and he was summonsed for operating with an expired license greater than 90 days.
Trooper Ferreira stopped Amy Laverdiere, 37, of Woolwich on Water Street in Randolph for an expired registration. Laverdiere was summonsed for operating an unregistered motor vehicle greater than 150 days.
Trooper Robert Cejka stopped Lynn C. Wasilewski, 60, for speeding 89 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 1 in Brunswick. Wasilewski was summonsed for criminal speed and released.
Feb. 14
Trooper Cejka and Recruit Desiree Wuthenow stopped a vehicle on Route 126 in West Gardiner for an inspection sticker violation. Upon investigation, the troopers discovered James Tripp, 31, of Randolph, was in possession of marijuana and methadone pills. Tripp was summonsed for possessing a useable amount of marijuana and for possession of a scheduled drug.
Trooper Adam McNaughton and Recruit Bureau were dispatched to an unattended death in Stockton Springs.
Trooper Teel arrested Craig Carlson, 26, of Swanville, on a criminal warrant for four felony counts of drug trafficking.
Feb. 15
Trooper Bethany Robinson responded to West Orchard Lane in Swanville for a burglary and someone impersonating an officer. The investigation continues.
Feb. 16
Trooper Donald Webber observed a vehicle traveling 90 moh in the posted 50 mph zone on Route 3 in Liberty. Brandon Bouchard, 21, of Liberty, was given a summons for operating after suspension and criminal speed.
Trooper Webber located Marcy Marriner, 30, in Knox and arrested her on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a Waterville Police Department theft charge.
Trooper Mark Ferreira stopped Conner Gleason, 20, of Gardiner, on Route 201 in Gardiner for expired registration. Gleason was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle unregistered greater than 150 days and released.
