Union Art Fair accepting applications for June 1 event

    UNION — Midcoast and beyond artisans and artists are invited to show their wares in Union at the third annual Thompson Memorial Association art fair on June 1.

    The fair takes place on the lawn of the historic Thompson Community Center in Union at the intersection of Rts 17 and 131. The event is on the same day as the Vose Library Plant Sale just down the road. The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    Throughout the day, customers can enjoy pizza and other fare from Shift Wood Fired of Appleton and the music of guitarist Phil Clement, who has performed in a variety of musical styles locally for years.

    Artisans and artists interested in selling their work should contact Sherry Cobb at sherrykc@tidewater.net or 207-785-2086 for a booth reservation form. A 10x10 booth is $25.

    Deadline to participate is May 20.
