Opening Ceremony for Swap Shop, E-Waste Collection Day at OSHTT
The Owls Head South Thomaston Thomaston (OSHTT) Transfer Station Board is holding an Opening Ceremony for a new Swap Shop at the facility on September 20, at noon. The ceremony follows OSHTT's E-Waste Collection Day, which runs from 9 a.m. - Noon.
"We are honored to repurpose the Penobscot Air building that was built by the late Kevin Waters at the Knox County Airport," said Zel Bowman-Laberge. "In honor of Kevin and his important role in our community - we have named the new swap shop the Kevin Waters Swap Shop. The new swap shop assists us with our mission of waste diversion to help keep our environment clean for generations to come."
"We would like to thank the following people for their support during the relocation and refurbishing of the existing structure: JBI, Rockport Steel, Penobscot Air, Knox County Regional Airport, Cayouette Flooring, Adventure Advertising, Colson Excavation & Landscaping, Gordon Connell, Ralston Gallery, Terry Waters and our dedicated Staff," said Bowman-Laberge.
