Coastal Recovery Community Center thanks community for rally success
Coastal Recovery Community Center thanks the entire community for supporting the 8th Annual Recovery Rally on Sept. 26th with special thanks going to: Mid-Coast School of Technology culinary arts students; The First bank; Walmart; Southend Grocery; Shaw’s; and, Hannaford Supermarkets and more than 30+ vendors and friends.
Under the bright and comfortable early autumn sunshine, entire families enjoyed family fun at the bouncy house, gathered free items from the vendors on site, and engaged with recovery services new to them. Many adults also took advantage to safeguard their health this flu season with vaccinations offered by public health.
CRCC believes its mission ‘all paths, all ages,’ inspired this year’s theme - Recovery for the whole person. Therefore, to entice the kids, there was face-painting, a bouncy house, and parenting classes information from Healthy Kids. Likewise, for the adults, all the recovery support information; the vaccines; and, rapid HIV/Hep-C testing administered for peace of mind.
CRCC holds its annual Recovery Rally every September, which is National Recovery Awareness Month, where the goal is to help lift up those in recovery, combat stigma and offer support to the community.
