UNION — It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah “Debbie” Ann Soule, who left this world on September 25, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on May 7, 1964, in Gloucester, Massachusetts to Robert L. Joubert and Jacqueline R. Boutin, Debbie spent her life dedicated to her family and friends, making a profound impact on the lives of those around her.
Debbie graduated with a high school diploma and embarked on a fulfilling career in telecommunications. She began her professional journey with Contel/GTE in October 1983 which later transitioned to Tidewater Telecom in August 1994, where she was well respected as a Service Representative, loved dearly by both her colleagues and customers.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Debbie was a devoted mother to her son, Ryan Soule of Union, Maine, and her daughter, Samantha Soule of Union, Maine, as well as her many self-declared children over the years.
Devoted to her community, Debbie volunteered her time and energy to various organizations, including the Union Fair, the Union Fire Department, the Freemasons, and the Shriners. Her warmth and generosity were evident in every meal she prepared, ensuring that no one ever went hungry. She found joy in cooking, spending time with her family, playing with the dogs, and watching the many birds that frequented her numerous bird feeders. Debbie's home was a sanctuary filled with love, laughter, and the comfort of family.
Debbie was predeceased by her father; and beloved husband, Kevin Soule, retired Union Fire Chief and dedicated community member.
Debbie is survived by her son, Ryan Soule of Westbrook; daughter, Samantha Soule of Union; and her mother.
A gathering will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4 - 6 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main Street, Waldoboro, Maine. The family invites all who knew and loved Debbie to join them in celebrating her life.
Debbie's spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and compassion. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
