Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases
ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Feb. 19-23.
Chad L. Burns, 48, of Friendship, possessing unregistered deer, $300 fine.
William L. Deane Jr, 41, of Thomaston, domestic violence criminal threatening, 364 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended, probation one year.
Allen L. Fogg, 29, of Warren, probation violation, original conviction for eluding an officer, 36 months in prison, probation partially revoked.
Sarah L. Havener, 32, of Rockland, probation violation for original conviction of burglary, nine months in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued. The burglary occurred in September 2015 and Havener was arrested by Camden police following the break-in of a downtown Camden home. Police said Havener stole multiple items from the home while the resident and a young child were sleeping upstairs. A car at the resident was also burglarized, with electronic equipment stolen.
Theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, six months in jail; criminal trespass, six months in jail; unlawful possession of scheduled drug, $400 fine, six months in jail; unlawful possession of scheduled drug, dismissed. According to the affidavit filed in Knox County Unified Court by Thomaston police, Havener stole a purse from a customer who was waiting in line for a store to open on Black Friday on Nov. 23. She was charged by Thomaston Police on Nov. 24 with felony theft, criminal trespass and two counts of scheduled drugs.
The affidavit states that officers from the department were inside the Walmart store at about 11:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 23, doing a walk-through to get an idea of the layout of the store for Black Friday shopping. They were notified by the store’s security personnel of a woman stealing a purse from a customer waiting outside in line for the store to open. The victim told police that she saw her purse in Havener’s purse and recovered it herself. She said that Havener then fled on foot. Thomaston police soon located her at the nearby Tractor Supply store. Police searched Havener’s purse and found many different bottles, all without labels, with pills. They confirmed that Havener did not have prescriptions for any of the pills, according to the court document.
Stephen M. Haynes, 51, of Appleton, abuse of property while hunting, $100 fine.
Andrew Jura, 30, of Union, violating condition of release, two counts, three years in prison with all but 54 days suspended.
