Governor Paul R. LePage said he will administratively close most state offices on Monday, July 3. This allows state employees to take administrative leave with pay, assuming the Legislature funds state government operations retroactively to July 1. In addition, the governor will provide employees working as designated emergency workers on Monday with compensatory time off for the work they perform on that day. State offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
