Methamphetamine laboratory bust in Raymond brings total to 15 this year

RAYMOND — For the 15th time this year, and just two months into 2016, investigators with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency responded to a reported methamphetamine laboratory, this time in Raymond. Drug agents responded Tuesday to a property on Roosevelt Trail after a Cumberland County Deputy discovered the lab this morning.
The deputy was there to check on a probation violation against James Foss of Raymond and made the discovery. Foss was arrested for that violation and taken to the Cumberland County Jail. Last summer, Foss was arrested by MDEA on meth charges, according to a news release.
The MDEA meth lab team dismantled the lab Tuesday afternoon. The owner of the garage had no knowledge of drug making activity, according to the release. Foss was reportedly an employee there. Drug agents said they will likely lodge additional drug–related charges against Foss after they have analyzed what was seized and conclude their investigation.
