Rockland council race now down to two

ROCKLAND — A week after RSU 13 school board candidate Esther “Tess” Kilgour of Rockland withdrew from her electoral race, Rockland City Council candidate Deborah O. Atwell has also pulled out.
Atwell directed her October 24 announcement to City Clerk Stuart Sylvester, who then sent word to the press. Her name will still appear on the Nov. 3 ballot, but any votes for her will not be counted.
Still vying for the three-year city council seat are William Jillson and Frank Isganitis.
