Rockport man charged with sexual assault, threatening an officer
ROCKLAND – A Rockport man was charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a male adult and inflicting injury to another man at the same residence.
Rockport Sgt. Travis Ford arrested Tyrone Trask, 55, of Rockport, and charged him with unlawful sexual contact, assault and disorderly conduct.
According to court documents, Ford responded to a call Oct. 18 concerning two men at a Camden Street residence who said Trask sexually assaulted one of them and assaulted the other by injuring his ear which caused deep scratches and bleeding. The men told police that the altercation occurred when they confronted Trask about an incident that occurred the night before when Trask allegedly sexually assaulted one of the men.
During the transport to the Knox County Jail, Trask refused to give his name to Ford and said he was going to have someone kill him later. Ford said that when Trask threatened him, he recalled the same threat made against him a few years ago and remembered the man in vehicle was Trask, according to the court document.
Trask's criminal record includes terrorizing and assault convictions, some against officers.
Trask's next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 11 at a dispositional conference in Knox County Unified Court.
