SEARSPORT — Cynthia Lynn (Sholes) Stover, 63, of Searsport, passed away Oct. 19, 2015. She was born Aug. 13, 1952, in Belfast, the daughter of Russell Sholes and Fay Young.

Cynthia graduated from Belfast Area High School, Class of 1970. She lived in the St. Paul and Albert Lea, Minn., areas for many years before returning to Maine in more recent years. She loved to knit, was a great baker and an avid sports fan, especially of the Minnesota Vikings. Cynthia also enjoyed going to Moose Point State Park to read with her Yorkshire terrier, Gizmo, as well as to church suppers with her friend, Barbara.

She is survived by her mother, Fay Gaul of Searsport; her step-mother, Janet Sholes of Belfast; her stepsister, Karen Sholes of Belfast; and several cousins, including a special cousin, Doug Norman of Searsport.

Private services will be held at a later date.
