KNOX — Pat Pierson of Knox has received the Maine Sheriff's Association Citizen of the Year Award. As one of the original founders of Waldo County Triad, Pat continues to be a devoted volunteer and driving force in the area of senior citizen well being.
Pat serves on Triad's Executive Board and as the coordinator and distribution manager of the Triad Newsletter that reaches over 2,500 senior residents of Waldo County. As the group's grant writer, thousands of dollars have been raised to help provide free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to those 65 and older as well as other senior health and safety projects.
