Waldoboro Police beat: Deer collision, gasoline drive-off
WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 229 calls for service from March 23-30. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
March 24
Officer John Lash is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a $10.44 gasoline drive off.
March 25
Officer Andrew Santheson investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 7:09 p.m. Alexa Oliver, 26, of Damariscotta, was driving a 2004 Ford sedan and was traveling northbound. The driver made a right turn into the Irving parking lot and traveled until vehicle impacted a barrier designed to protect a propane valve. No injuries.
March 28
Officer Andrew Santheson investigated an accident on Breman Road at 4:46 p.m. Bruce Holt, 29, of Round Pound, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet utility vehicle. The vehicle was heading northbound on Bremen Road, drifted onto the shoulder of the northbound lane, and continued over an embankment and impacted a tree. No injuries.
March 29
Officer John Lash investigated a report of a resident receiving harassing text messages. The subject was located and warned on harassment.
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident who has been receiving threatening phone calls.
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident about criminal mischief to a mailbox.
Officer John Lash investigated an accident on Union Road at 12:34 a.m. Craig Ventimiglia, 48, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2012 GMC utility vehicle and was traveling north. Two deer entered the roadway from the left and the vehicle struck both deer in the northbound lane. No injuries.
