VINALHAVEN — Elizabeth H. Webster, 93, widow of Delwyn Webster, died Dec. 29, 2014, at the Ivan Calderwood Homestead on Vinalhaven.

Born Jan. 16, 1921, in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of Oather P. and Norenn Riley. During World War II, she met her future husband, Delwyn Webster in Long Beach, Calif. They were married in Dallas on April 18, 1946.

Mrs. Webster was a member of the Union Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of The Eastern Star. An avid gardener, she enjoyed starting flowers and vegetables in her green house each year, then planting them in her gardens.

Surviving are her two sons, Walter Webster and his wife, Debbie, and Merle Webster, all of Vinalhaven; one grandchild, Delwyn Webster of Ellsworth; one sister, Sybil Masterson of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Union Church or to Vinalhaven Eldercare.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Brown's Head Cemetery in the spring.
