The Maine Dept. of Transportation announced June 11 that Andrew C. Gobeil, of Owls Head, is the agency's new Director of Public Information.

Gobeil is a former Cape Cod resident, and has worked in communications, including radio and television, since age 15. He served as communications director at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

At the DOT, will serve as the state agency's spokesperson.

Gobeil'es experience includes being National Public Radio's youngest affiliate News Director in his mid-20s and a White House-based national TV correspondent in his mid-30s. 

He lives in Owls Head with his partner Kathy and their dog Jib, and has two adult sons.
