ROCKPORT — Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s Aldermere Farm will host free farm tours Fridays at 10 a.m., this summer: 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/15, and 8/22.   

The tours will be held in Aldermere’s barnyard at 20 Russell Ave in Rockport and led by volunteer docents who will share the history of this 200+ year old saltwater farm that became a preserve of Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) in 1999.

Attendees will meet Aldermere’s iconic Belted Galloway herd and the staff and 4-H Club that work with them.

Aldermere beef and information about MCHT’s educational agriculture programs will be available inside Aldermere Farm’s Visitor Center. 

Attendees must wear closed-toe shoes and not bring pets. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is free. Donations are appreciated.
