Friends of Rockland Public Library seeks local gardeners to donate to June 14 sale
ROCKLAND — The Friends of Rockland Public Library is seeking local gardeners to Dig and Donate for its June 14 Plant and Bake Sale. Gardeners in the area are needed to dig a few perennials now to offer for sale in June.
"April and May are the best times of the year to divide many types of flowering perennials to keep the plants healthy," said Friends, in a news release. "Donate a few of your divisions to the June Plant Sale. We have volunteers who will be happy to help you divide your plants or, if you prefer to do it yourself, we will pick up your donations from your garden."
The Friends of Rockland Library provides financial assistance to the library throughout the year, everything from new computers to new books.
"The June Plant sale is one of our primary fundraising events so please help us make this the best Plant Sale ever," said Friends.
Email at friendsofrocklandpubliclibrary@gmail.com to let Friends know you want to donate your plants.
