Maine Democratic Party to hold municipal caucuses Feb. 3, 4
The Democratic caucuses, organized by the Maine Democratic Party in partnership with local committees, including the Knox County Democratic Committee, are an opportunity to organize for the 2024 elections. All registered Knox County Democrats are invited to participate in the municipal caucuses, including 17-year-olds who will be 18 by November 5, 2024 and who have registered to vote and enrolled as a Democrat.
Detailed information on the Presidential primary and the municipal caucuses, including recommended advance caucus check in, is available on the MDP website.
“This year’s election will be one of the most consequential in our lifetime,” said the Knox Democratic Committee. “By attending a Democratic municipal caucus, Knox County Democrats will:
“Show solidarity with their fellow Democrats;
“Build a grassroots coalition to win in November;
“Generate momentum to turn out every voter for Democratic candidates;
“Fill vacancies in municipal and county committees, and elect delegates to the Maine Democratic Party State convention;
“Have a say in the party’s direction in 2024; and
“Show Maine and the entire country what a ‘blue wave’ looks like.”
