Eileen (Marchant) York, 87, died at her home on February 10, 2023. 

 

Eileen was born on February 10, 1936 in Hyannis, Massachusetts, to Chester Everett and Evelyn Bernice (Chase) Marchant.  She graduated from Barnstable, Massachusetts High School.  

 

Eileen was a strong, independent woman many times working two jobs to support her family.  She worked for many years at the Salvation Army in Belfast.  

 

Eileen was predeceased by her parents, and brothers Allan Marchant and William Marchant.  She is survived by her children, Terry Ellis and Kevin Ellis, of Belfast, Sharon Bucklin (Owen), of Old Town, Holly Witham, of Skowhegan, Marcia Witham, of Waterville, Martin Witham, Jr., (Dawn), of Palermo and Travis York (Monica), of Searsport. 

 

She is also survived by her brother, Dennis Marchant, and wife Vicki of  Barnstable, Massachusetts.  Eilee had 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

 

Services will be private.
