Yes, the Knox Dems care about corruption
We are responding to the letter to the editor published on June 15 from Robert Williams of Camden. We regret that Mr Williams has not had his appeals for legislation to increase penalties for corporate corruption addressed.
The Knox County Democratic Committee has received one email from Mr Williams June 14, 2025 at 10:16 a.m., which was responded to by Greg Marley on June 15, 2025 at 7:25 a.m. No previous emails from that address were found in the KCDC email account, or in the personal accounts of our executive committee members.
The KCDC is a grassroots, volunteer-run operation. We have a headquarters only in the months leading up to major elections and do not maintain an active phone number outside of those periods. We are not able to staff specific office hours, but our monthly meeting is open to all Democrats and unenrolled progressives.
On this specific request, we urge Mr. Williams to connect with Representative Vicki Doudera and/or Senator Pinny Beebe-Center if he is interested in having legislation considered. We are all interested in stopping corruption.
