Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen lobster buoys, eluding an officer, passing a roadblock
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 217 calls for service from Oct. 13-19. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not constitute guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Oct. 14
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from the Big Apple of a $32.33 gasoline drive off.
Anthony Baker, 24, of Union, was arrested by Officer Thomas Bartunek for passing a roadblock, eluding an officer, theft and speeding 30 miles over the speed limit.
Oct. 15
Hesseltine is investigating a resident’s report that he is being threatened and his door was damaged by criminal mischief.
Destinee Smith, 55, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Sgt. Jamie Wilson on a warrant.
Mackenzie Whitehill, 18, of Jefferson, was issued a summons by Wilson for operating after suspension.
Oct. 17
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of 20 lobster buoys, valued at $400.
Fuller is investigating a report from a resident that someone broke into her residence and tampered with her furnace.
Fuller is investigating a report from a resident about threats being made to him in reference to criminal mischief to his vehicle.
Oct. 18
Derick Winslow, 25, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Fuller for failure to report an accident, operating under the influence and operating after suspension, habitual offender.
Officer John Lash is investigating a report from a resident of a trespasser on his property.
Oct. 19
Fuller is investigating a report from the Smoke Shop of a burglary, with criminal mischief done to security cameras.
