Waldoboro Police beat: Juvenile assault, OUI and driving into a ditch
WALDOBORO - Waldoboro Police responded to 311calls for service from Aug. 31-Sept. 8. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Aug. 31
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a resident about the theft of medication.
Sept. 1
Teddy Robinson, 39, of Warren, was arrested on a warrant by Officer Chris Spear and was also issued a summons for operating after suspension.
Sept. 2
Bartunek investigated an accident on Wagner Bridge Road at 8:36 p.m. Zachary Overlock, 25, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck. Overlock’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Wagner Bridge Road, drove into a ditch, continued through the ditch over a driveway and struck a tree. Overlock tried to back up and drove back into the ditch. Injuries were reported.
Overlock was charged by Bartunek with operating under the influence.
Sept. 3
Joel Winchenbach, 31, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle.
Pamela Eugley, 60, of Augusta, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle.
Hesseltine is investigating a report from a juvenile of assault by another juvenile.
Frederick Pinkham, 49, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear on a warrant.
Sept. 6
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a resident about the theft of her wallet.
Sept. 7
Nicholas Dubose, 25, of Portland, was issued a summons by Bartunek for failure to show proof of insurance.
Sept. 8
Hesseltine is investigating a report from a resident about criminal mischief to a trailer on Union Road.
