Two Route 90 crashes within minutes slow traffic on Wednesday

WARREN — Route 90 traffic slowed to a crawl at two different intersections almost simultaneously due to motor vehicle crashes Wednesday, March 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
In Warren, Route 90 traffic heading toward Waldoboro was slowed down just prior to Oyster River Road due to a two-vehicle accident that sent one vehicle from the Rockland-bound lane diagonally through the intersection and into the Waldoboro-bound lane. The two drivers involved in the crash, as well as the driver of a third vehicle that was hit with debris, declined medical attention.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, a black Ford pickup, operated by Scott Entwisle, 31, of Warren, was northbound on Oyster River Road and failed to stop at the intersection of Camden Road. The black Ford entered the intersection and struck a silver Ford pickup, operated by Lynda Clancy, 62, of Rockport, who was operating eastbound on Camden Road. Debris from the crash struck a Ford Expedition, operated by Ann Fox, 50, of Warren, which was following the silver pickup.
All vehicles came to rest in the roadway. No injuries were reported.
Both pickups were towed due to disabling damage and the Expedition was still operable with minor damage.
The KCSO was assisted by Knox RCC, Warren Fire, Warren Rescue, Oyster River Towing, and Camden Exxon.
The Warren crash was preceded only by a few minutes by a minor two-vehicle crash on Route 90 at the entrance to Keelson Drive, in Rockport. After assisting at the scene, North East Ambulance and Rockport firefighters returned to their regular business just prior to 4 p.m.
