Thomaston Grammar School awards creativity in June 2025, recognizes academic achievements, IReady
Students at Thomaston Grammar School have been focusing on creativity during the month of June. Several students at TGS were recognized for being creative at a school-wide assembly on June 11.
Students receiving the Creativity Award were: Liam Eustis, Cameron Petty, Izalea Donnell-McLean, Evie Guite, Jack DeYoung, Aoife Miller, Colton Webber, Azrael Dare, Marley Johnson, Quinn Blakeway, Charles Adams, Avery McLean, Carter Spicer, Jace Sawyer, Evelyn Curtis, David Alvarez, LoriLei Grout, and Milo Fisher.
The students receiving the Creativity Award are known to be very creative. Creative thinkers are able to think outside the box. They are able to see new and exciting ways of doing things. They take risks and are willing to try new things without fear. Because these students are willing to be creative, they are able to produce some amazing things. People who are creative have excellent imaginations and are able to express themselves in unique and exciting ways. They go beyond what is expected, and the result is magnificent. They inspire others with their creative spirit.
Throughout the month, students were awarded daily tickets for being creative. These tickets were put into a raffle and six lucky winners were drawn at the assembly. Winners received their choice of a prize, including gift cards donated by local businesses. The winners this month were: Ella Hamlin, Logan King, Ryleigh Gagnon, Essie Ross, Adam Breen.
Hazel Dare and Bryce Slape also received the Principal’s Award. Hazel is a wonderful member of the Thomaston Grammar School community. It is apparent to all who she crosses paths with that she cares about her classmates and TGS staff members. She works hard to be a contributing member of her classroom and the greater school community. Bryce is an amazing member of the TGS community. Bryce is a very thoughtful student. He offers help to others without even being asked to do so. He is kind, caring, and supportive always.
The assembly concluded with the presentation of Spring Academic Awards. Students in kindergarten through grade received iReady Awards for meeting their growth goal, exceeding their growth goal, and having the highest growth in their class. Students in grades two through five also received awards for their scores on the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test. Juliette Johnson was also awarded the MEA “My Hero” Writing Contest award.
Congratulations to all the students who received awards at TGS this month!
