Swap Shop closes for season at Mid Coast Solid Waste
Mid-Coast Solid Waste, in Rockport, is closing the Swap Shop Oct. 30 at the Rockport transfer station. MCSW, which processes trash for Camden, Hope, Lincolnville and Rockport, will announce when the Swap Shop will reopen at its website, www.midcoastsolidwaste.org and on its Facebook page Mid-Coast Solid Waste Corporation.
“Thank you to all the people who volunteered to work at the Swap Shop,” MCSW said, in a news release. “We also appreciate all those who took the time to donate and/or made the successful effort to divert useful items from the waste stream. See you again in the spring!
“We are also taking this opportunity to notifying the public that the Planet Aid clothing collection drop box has been removed from our facility. Planet Aid will no longer service our area and articles of clothingcannot be left at this facility when the Swap Shop is not open. We suggest you look toward other area organizations, charitable groups and businesses that accept used articles of clothing.”
