Rockland Council considers establishing city manager search committee
The Rockland City Council meets this evening, Feb. 6, in Council Chambers to set its Feb. 13 meeting agenda. Tonight’s agenda considers the city’s proposal to establish a city manager search committee, consider a resolve to support the “Health and Protection of Local Food System,” consider the case of a dangerous building at 33 North Main Street, and authorize a special election to fill the council seat that was vacated last week by Larry Pritchett.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. with an executive session for a hardship abatement hearing. The public portion of the meeting is expected to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Pritchett resigned his council seat, notifying the city in a Feb. 1 letter. He does, however, intend to remain on the city’s Energy Committee.
