Robert Milhomme, obituary
ST. GEORGE — Robert J. “Indian” Milhomme Sr., 61, died unexpectedly Jan. 26, 2016, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident.
Born in Chaplin, Conn., on May 26, 1954, he was the son of Gerard J. Sr. and Lorraine Vargas Milhomme. Robert moved to Maine in 1975 and considered Maine home since that time.
In earlier years, Robert worked as a commercial fisherman. For the past several years he enjoyed working as a truck driver.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed several trips cross-country on his bike. He particularly enjoyed spending time outside with his best friend, Tank.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by the love of his life, Gracie Allen; six siblings, Nancy Smith, Gerard Milhomme Jr., James Milhomme, Diana Robinson, Roger Milhomme and Linda Sarette. He is survived by his girlfriend, Megan Bianco of St. George; one son, Robert F. Milhomme Jr.; three siblings, Richard Milhomme, and Julie Scott and her husband, Gary, all of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Edward Milhomme and his wife, Theresa, of Victorville, Calif.; many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, whom he considered family.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit Friday, Feb. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m.
