BELMONT — Penny D. Oxton, 53, of Belmont, daughter of Herb and Judy Oxton, died May 4, 2016, at home with family, after a six-month battle with ovarian cancer.

Penny will always be remembered for her love of family and her many friends from Henderson School in Camden, Belfast Area schools and at Belfast Industries. She loved to swim and dance and enjoyed her summer camp time at Mechuwana Camp with the special needs adult campers and the staff who volunteered their time to Penny and her friends.

Our family is grateful to the Waldo County General Hospital Oncology Unit for their care and Kno-Wal-Lin Hospice, with special thanks to Katie D. and Jessica M. for their exceptional care.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Pease Yard in Belmont.
