Normand I. Gaulin, obituary
CAMDEN — Normand Ignus Gaulin, 81, died Aug. 30, 2015, at his home in Camden. Born in Putnam, Conn., on April 28, 1934, he was the son of Raoul and Yvonne (Germain) Gaulin.
He was a graduate of Putnam High School in Connecticut, and married Leah Chapman on April 11, 1953, in Hertford, N.C.
Normand served in the U.S. Navy from Dec. 17, 1951, to Feb. 22, 1971. He retired at the Brunswick Naval Base.
His hobbies included boating, fishing, doing puzzles and working outside.
In 2011, Normand and Leah moved to the Megunticook House in Camden. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Union.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Leah Gaulin of Camden; three children, Deborah Pease and her husband, Stephen Pease, of Hope; Michael Gaulin and his wife, Christina, of Northport, and Theresa Gaulin of Rockport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Wilfred Gaulin and his wife, Evelyn, of Nevada and Roland Gaulin of Connecticut; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Frier and her husband, William, of Virginia Beach, Va.
