State Senator Dana Dow, representing the members of the Senate and House of Representatives for the State of Maine, joined in recognizing Michael Hall, owner of Hall Funeral Homes with locations in Waldoboro, Boothbay, and Thomaston, for receiving the Business Person of the Year Award from the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce. Michael Hall founded Karl’s Kids, a non-profit program of the Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary Club, helping Lincoln County youth get involved in athletics and outdoor pursuits by providing equipment needed to participate. Karl’s Kids has helped over 1,200 kids in the past 10 years since Karl’s Kids was founded.

Senator Dow presented a certificate from The Members of Senate and House of Representatives extended to Michael Hall their congratulations and best wishes; And be it ordered that this official expression of sentiment be sent forthwith on behalf of the 128th Legislature and the people of the State of Maine.

Senator Dow personally congratulated Michael Hall for his active involvement in the Lincoln County community through business and volunteerism. Dow said, “These contributions enhance the overall economic health of the region and the well-being of the general population by making Lincoln County a better place.
