LifeFlight transports two to following Liberty crash
LIBERTY — Two women were transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center via Life Flight following single vehicle accident on Route 3 in Liberty March 7.
According to a media report, a motorist and her passenger lost control of the 2003 Saturn they were operating at approximately 4 p.m., due to slush on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree before rolling over and coming to rest in the ditch.
The operator, identified as Taylor Higgins, 22, of Surry, and her passenger, Tasia Whittier, 22, of Bath, both sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. Though neither reportedly received life-threatening injuries, both were transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center via Life Flight for treatment.
Members of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office were assisted at the scene by Liberty Fire and Rescue, the Montville Fire Department, as well as Searsport Fire and Ambulance.
