Knox County Sheriff’s beat: Burglary, arrests for operating under the influence, reading while driving, multiple arrest warrants
The Knox County Sheriff's office received 745 calls for service from Feb.14-29. Those calls that are not listed below include agency assists, animal problems, bail and warrant checks, business and residential alarms, business and residential property checks, check-ins, citizen assists, civil disputes, crisis interventions, death investigations, nuisances complaints, court paper service, motor vehicle crashes, police information, school visits, suspicious persons and circumstances, traffic hazards, and traffic stops. An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
Feb. 14
Following a traffic stop in Rockland, Deputy John Hansen arrested Corey Williams, 40, of South Thomaston, for operating under the influence second offense, refusing to stop for police, operating after habitual offender, and violation of conditional release.
Deputy Paul Pinkham and Hansen responded to a domestic assault report in South Thomaston. Hansen arrested Robert Oakes, 46, of South Thomaston, for domestic violence assault.
Following a traffic stop in Hope, Deputy Arthur Smith arrested Brandon Klein, 32, of Washington, for operating under the influence and violation of conditional release.
Following a traffic stop in Hope, Deputy Scott Redmun summoned John Rich, 27, of Union, for speed and failure to register a motor vehicle.
Feb. 15
Following a traffic stop in Friendship, Hansen summoned Joshua Wilshire, 31, of Waldoboro, for speed.
Detective Donald Murray, Sergeant Patrick Polky, and Redmun responded to a burglary report in Owls Head, the incident is under investigation.
Feb. 16
Detective Dwight Burtis responded to a violation of protection order in Union, the incident is under investigation.
Following a traffic stop in Thomaston, Hansen summoned Andrew Stone, 27, of Hope, for speed.
Hansen responded to a theft report in Saint George, the incident is under investigation.
Feb. 17
Deputy Robert Potter responded to a criminal mischief report on Vinalhaven. The incident is under investigation.
Deputy Jeremy Joslyn and Polky responded to a trespassing complain in St. George. Joslyn arrested Larry Winchenbach, 33, of St. George, for a probation violation. Joslyn also summoned Winchenbach for leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a crash, operating after suspension, failure to register a motor vehicle, displaying expired inspection, and failure to produce evidence of insurance.
Following a traffic stop in Union, Deputy Paul Spear summoned Joseph Boudreau, 54, of Rockland, for failure to register a motor vehicle.
Joslyn responded to a bail violation in South Thomaston. Joslyn arrested Corey Rytky, 35, of St. George, for violation of conditional release.
Feb. 18
Following a traffic stop in Washington, Spear summoned Winston Robinson, 41, of Union, for failure to register a motor vehicle.
Following a traffic stop in Rockport, Deputy Nathaniel Jack summoned Allan Bragg, 32, of Warren, for speed.
Following a bail check in Friendship, Joslyn summoned Thomas Powell, 24, of Friendship, for violation of conditional release.
Joslyn and Spear responded to a request for assistance in Rockport. Joslyn arrested Devin David, 29, of Friendship, for five active arrest warrants and Karrie Prior, 25, of Friendship, for a probation violation.

Smith responded to a domestic assault report in Warren. Smith arrested Thomas Gaudette, 25, of Waldoboro, for domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing, and obstructing the report of a crime.
Following a traffic stop in Washington, Spear summoned Elisha Frampton, 32, of Washington, for displaying an expired inspection sticker.
Following a traffic stop in Warren, Spear summoned Courtney Costa, 22, of Union, for criminal speed.
Following a bail and warrant check in Warren, Spear arrested Ian Chase, 21, of Warren, on two active arrest warrants and for violation of conditional release.
Following a traffic stop in Cushing, Redmun summoned Brandon Demmons, 21, of Rockland, for failure to produce evidence of insurance.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Jack arrested Michael Roman, 29, of Union, for receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of scheduled “W” drugs, and unlawful possession of scheduled “Z” drugs.
Redmun and Polky responded to a traffic crash in Washington. Redmun arrested April Moulton, 40, of Washington, for operating under the influence.
