ROCKLAND — A Knox County grand jury recently issued indictments against 26 people. The jury completed its session on June 16 with 144 charges including kidnapping, assaults, drug trafficking and robberies.  

An indictment does not indicate guilt.

Nicholas D. Adkins, 33, of Warren, violation of condition of release in Warren Sept. 7, 2022; domestic violence assault and violation of condition of release in Warren Sept. 4, 2022.

Adam Lee Barnes, 36, of Detroit, aggravated assault in Rockland Feb. 6, 2023.

Daniel P. Barnes, 35, of Rockland, domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, (a hammer) two counts, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, refusing to submit to arrest, and domestic violence assault in Rockland Jan. 27, 2023

Jeffrey P. Callahan, 30, of Rockland, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief, and domestic violence assault in Union Dec. 6, 2022.

Jeremy R. Dennison, 37, of Rockland, aggravated criminal mischief and violation condition of release at the Schooner Bay Motor Inn in Rockport Dec. 20, 2022.

Hector Eduardo Diaz-Mejia, 23, of Warren, robbery, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, assault, and theft by unauthorized taking in Warren March 27, 2023; aggravated trafficking in fentanyl and criminal forfeiture of $6,894 in Warren April 26, 2023.

Jessica E. Doan, 34, of Waldoboro, theft by unauthorized taking in Washington at Jackson’s Corner Store Oct. 26 through Nov. 10, 2022.

Carlton J. Elliott, 34, of Rockland, operating after revocation in Rockland Nov. 2, 2022.

Stephen A. Grotton, 37, of Warren, gross sexual assault, eight counts, and unlawful sexual contact, eight counts, in Warren from 2004 to 2007. The victim was a child younger than twelve years old.

Isaiah R. Heald, 44, of Rockland, violation of a protective order in Camden March 26, 2023.

Joshua P. Howard, 35, of Waldoboro, elevated aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and violation of condition of release, two counts, in Warren Feb. 4, 2023.

Bryant Hutchins, 46, of Lewiston, theft by unauthorized taking and violation of condition of release at Walmart in Thomaston Feb. 12, 2023.

Mark Alan Knight, 44, of Jupiter, Fla., aggravated assault, domestic violence terrorizing, and obstructing report of a crime or injury in Washington April 26, 2023.

Richard A. Lee Sr., 55, of Cushing, trafficking in prison contraband, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (methamphetamine), criminal operating under the influence, and violation of a condition of release in Thomaston March 7, 2023.

Dashleen Lugo, 29, of Boston, Mass., robbery, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, assault, and theft by unauthorized taking in Warren March 27, 2023; aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (fentanyl) and criminal forfeiture of $6,894 in Warren April 26, 2023.
