Knox County deputies seeking public’s help with pair of business burglaries
UNION — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in the investigation of two burglaries in Union that occurred Tuesday night, between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m., one at Union True Value and the other at Come Spring Café.
According to Knox County Chief Deputy Tim Carroll, the burglaries are not believed to be related to the recent rash of commercial burglaries that have been reported on in other area communities.
Detective Donald Murray of the Criminal Investigations Division, said he believes the suspect had a vehicle close by, possibly on or near the side of the road on Route 17.
Come Spring Cafe is located at 1422 Heald Highway (Route 17) and Union True Value is located at 749 Heald Highway.
Anyone that may have seen something unusual, or a car in that area at the time the burglaries are believed to have occurred, is encouraged to call the Knox County Sheriff's Office at 207-594-0677. Investigators were still on scene today gathering evidence.
