PROSPECT — A motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene after his motorcycle collided with a Subaru Saturday, at approximately 3:34 p.m., according to a media report from Maine State Police.
Christopher Sabol, 23, did not survive the crash, which occurred near 223 Fort Knox Road in Prospect.
Troopers responded to the report of a two vehicle crash, and initial investigation indicates that Sabol was traveling west with a group of fellow motorcyclists on Fort Knox Road before he passed a car at a high rate of speed, and failed to negotate a curve, ultimately slamming into the side of a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. The driver of the Subaru was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
