George W. Erskine, obituary
George W. Erskine, Jr., 62, of Liberty, passed away June 22 in Liberty. He was born in Portland to Mary and George Erskine, Sr. on December 6, 1954. He lived in South Portland his whole life. He was a Boy Scout for eight years and his father was the Scout leader.
After graduating from South Portland High School, he took over the family business that his great-grandfather had started, Erskine Construction, and ran it for approximately 25 years.
George had 18 years of loyal service to the Mountain Men Motorcycle Club and he was an officer of UBM for 10 years. He enjoyed most riding his Harley, spending time at Lake St. George, where he later retired to, and spending time with his family.
George was predeceased by wife Lorelei (Ross) Erskine. He is survived by his son, George R. Erskine of Gray; step-daughters Deserae MacDonald, of Veazie, and Nicole Nevarez, of Augusta; half-sister Susan Collins, of North Carolina ,and six grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 22 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion in Winthrop, ME.
