David Milton Linscott, obituary
ROCKLAND — David Milton Linscott, 67, died unexpectedly on Feb. 19, 2016, at his home after a period of declining health.
Born in Rockland on Oct. 7, 1948, he was the son of Loy M. and Evelyn G. Wall Linscott. He was educated in local schools. For the past several years, with his wife Linda, David lived at the Stella Maris House in Rockland.
A hardworking man all his life, in earlier years, David worked in the woods. He later worked at Kenniston Saw Mill in Warren for more than 10 years. Ultimately, he worked several years in the poultry industry, primarily with Reed Poultry Farm in Waldoboro.
David lived a quiet life, but enjoyed keeping in touch with his family and watching old western movies.
In addition to his wife, Linda; David is survived by his mother; four sisters, Diane N. Leonard and her husband, Harry, Virginia K. Flaherty, Judith Davis and her husband, Terrance, and Jacqueline Leonard and her husband, Joseph, all of Warren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland. The Rev. Wayne Sawyer will officiate.
