MORRILL — David L. Goulet, 60, of Morrill, passed away Sept. 21, 2015, in Belfast. He was born Oct. 9, 1954, in Webster, Mass.

David graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster, Mass., Class of 1972. After graduation, he moved to Florida and then attended MIT, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. He then began his career in refrigeration.

David met his wife, Jackcine, while working in Florida, where they married in 1978 and started their family, welcoming their only daughter, Shazelle, in 1985. Together they started their own company, Goulet's Refrigeration, out of their garage, which they operated successfully until 2005. In 2007 they built their cabin in Maine, where they fell in love with the area. David then went to work for Delhaize America until retiring to Maine in 2013 with his wife.

In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, watching sports and a good cigar.

He was predeceased by his father, George A Goulet; his beloved wife, Jackcine Goulet in 2013; and his brother, Richard Goulet.

David is survived by his mother, Irene Goulet of Webster, Mass.; his daughter, Shazelle Goulet of Portland; his brothers, Garrett Goulet and his wife, Ann, of Largo, Fla., and Kenneth Goulet and his wife, Cathi, of Webster, Mass.; his sister-in-law, Gretchen Goulet of Webster, Mass.; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his chocolate Labrador, Truman.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at noon at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast.
