Camden/Rockport Community Climate Action to hold potluck
Camden/Rockport Community Climate Action Potluck will be held Thursday, June 26, from 5:45 - 8 p.m., at First Congregational Church (FCC), 55 Elm Street, Camden. The event is free and open to all.
Celebrate summer, meet neighbors, and share a meal.
There will be a program of short talks by representatives from local organizations — FCC Creation Care, CamdenCAN, Camden Garden Club, Green Burial, Beech Hill Research, and FCC’s Anti-Poverty Group — aimed at fostering awareness and partnering on meaningful actions to mitigate climate change impacts. Confirmed speakers include David Kibbe speaking on The Camden Garden Club’s 2025 Expo: Edible Gardens & Bountiful Tables; Amanda Dwelley/Beech Hill research updating on Rockport’s Social Vulnerability Assessment for Community Resilience; and Jonathan Frost presenting the Goals and Activities of FCC’s Anti-Poverty Work Group.
There will also be a moderated discussion focusing on community collaboration on climate action.
Bring a dish to share if so inclined.
