Camden issues two parking bans, March 4, and again, March 5 into early Monday morning, March 6
Fri, 03/03/2023 - 1:00pm
There will be a winter parking ban for all streets and parking lots in Camden, except for the Public Safety lot on Washington Street, which is located behind the Fire Station, on Saturday, March 4, from 1 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We understand that the parking ban length it is being required during the daytime is less than ideal, but plow crews must stay ahead of the conditions this anticipated storm will bring,” said Police Chief Randy Gagne. “Those who need street parking for short durations like store or pharmacy visits will not be subject to ticketing. We just ask that these are short-duration parking situations.”
There will be a second parking ban for all downtown Camden streets, except for the Public Safety lot on Washington St. from 9 p.m. Sunday evening, March 5, to 6 a.m., Monday, March 6. The second parking ban is needed to allow for the safe removal of accumulated snow in the downtown area. The removal of accumulated snow is necessary to free up downtown parking, and clear important drainage that prevents flooding and icing.
For your safety and the safety of our road and sidewalk plow crews, it is recommended that you limit your travel on Saturday.
