Camden citizens to vie for seats on select, school boards

CAMDEN — Martin Cates is not running for reelection to the Camden Select Board, but two citizens have stepped forward to seek his open seat.
Marc Ratner and Gian Gallace both returned nomination papers April 29, which puts their names on the ballot for annual Town Meeting elections, which will take place on June 14.
There will also be competition for School Administrative District 28 (Camden-Rockport School Board) and the Five Town CSD (Camden Hills Regional High School School Board) seats that are being vacated by longtime board members John Lewis and Tori Manzi.
The candidates who are running for those two empty seats are Pete Orne, Eileen Morelli and Rebecca Flanagan.
