Rory Keohane brings creativity and dimension as a partner at Tenderwild Farm, a concept created by Peter Alsop and Morgen Van Vorst in 2020. The stars lined up when Peter and Morgan bought 17 acres and a farmhouse from 1810 in a nest of early 19th-century homes in what was once known as Rockville, now Rockport. As a Pecha Kucha speaker, he will capsulized the mission o the farm and his personal take.
Rory became a part of their concept early on. Tenderwild Farm is an organic no-till vegetable farm. Our mission is to grow exceptional food and to nurture a vibrant ecosystem on the land and a living presence in our community through our farm store and events. The ethos speaks to the times. Great produce starts with healthy soil. Certified organic, we use no-till methods, including natural mulches and cover crops, to grow exceptionally tasty vegetables. Their land stewardship practices focus on establishing abundant habitat for pollinators, songbirds, frogs, and other beneficial creatures.

The marriage of this team and this farm in mid-coast Maine is a marvel. When you meet up with Rory, Peter, and Megan at either a farm event or to vegetable and flower shop, you encounter a warm, inclusive, dynamic experience.
Camden Garden Club is so pleased to have Rory as part of a day of gardening exploration in many forms. Together with ten local talented farmers and growers, Rory will set your mind to thinking about how you can change your garden to better suit the needs of your family. The Club is proud to support Tenderwild Farm.
