ROCKLAND — Midcoast Music Academy’s (MCMA) end of semester recital will be held Sunday, January 28, at 4 p.m., at the Strand Theatre on Main Street in Rockland.

The recital is a joyful celebration of a full semester of work by students of all ages and their instructors. Through performance, music students have the opportunity to share with the community at large the unique voice that they endeavor to develop through lessons and practice.

“An MCMA recital is always an energetic event full of great music and talented students,” said MCMA, in a news release. “With something for any musical taste – from classical piano to smoky jazz vocals to punk rock to The Beatles – this show is sure to please all ears.”

The recital is open to the public – all are welcome.

A suggested $10 donation at the door helps MCMA to offset recital costs. Concessions provided by the Strand will be available to purchase.

Midcoast Music Academy is a community music school for students of all ages located in Rockport. Founded in 2012, MCMA combines a classical music education with a contemporary approach, to provide high quality music instruction in a personalized, creative environment. MCMA’s mission is to harness the power of making music with and for others, through equitable access to instruction, performance and community programming. Tuition assistance is available to all dedicated students.
